Grapefruit is one of those foods that's so good when added to so many different dishes, and you hardly ever eat it alone... until now!

Equipment

  • Knife
  • Oven with broil setting

Ingredients

  • 2 Grapefruits
  • 1 tsp Coconut Sugar

Toppings

  • Cinnamon
  • Honey
  • Fresh Mint
  • Coconut Flakes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven on the "broil setting".
  • Cut each grapefruit in half.
  • Run a knife around the edge of each grapefruit, between the fruit and the rind.
  • Slice on either side of each grapefruit section to separate it from the membranes.
  • Sprinkle each grapefruit half with 1/4 tsp of coconut sugar.
  • Place each grapefruit half on a sheet tray, cut side facing up and broil until the sugar has melted, about 3-5 minutes. Every oven is different, so make sure you watch to avoid burning!
  • Add your favorite toppings (I did fresh mint, cinnamon, coconut flakes, and a honey drizzle) and enjoy!
